What this website collects
Nothing, by design.
- The site sets no cookies.
- It uses no analytics and no trackers.
- It loads nothing from third parties: no fonts, scripts, images or embeds from other domains.
- If you use the "Pause motion" switch, that one preference is kept in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). It never leaves your device and you can clear it from your browser.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes standard server logs when a page is requested, which include your IP address and browser user agent. These logs are used for security and to deliver the site, and are held under Vercel's own retention policy. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
If you email us
If you email us, we use your name, email address and anything you tell us only to reply and to provide the services you ask for. We keep that correspondence for as long as we work together and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- object to how we process it.
Email michael@mdbtechworks.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
